Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting the island of Antigua.

It's a breathtaking island with 366 beaches and lots of lush tropical landscapes.

We stayed at several luxury resorts, so we were able to enjoy a few beaches.

They were all different but fun in their own way. All beaches are public in Antigua, but some are set on private coves, so they offer the ultimate private experience.

Antigua has many options in terms accommodation from condos, private luxury villas, hotels

and all-inclusive resorts. Antigua has the most luxurious over water bungalows which we have video of on our IG- @travelpersonalescape. You feel like you are a world away staying in these bungalows, but you will want for nothing, your butler will take care of it all.

We hired a local driver/tour guide John, who gave us a private tour around the island for the day.

It was wonderful to learn the history and culture of the island from someone who was born and raised In Antigua.

Restaurants are in abundance and range from fast food to luxury five - star white glove service. They also have a variety of cuisines such as French, Italian, Creole, and Caribbean delights, we were lucky enough try all of them. I love seafood and the spiny lobster is my favorite.

Shopping is also plentiful from downtown to the small shops with local handicrafts offered at Nelson Dockyard. UNESCO World Heritage Site Nelson’s Dockyard is also a great place for history buffs. It is the only remaining example of a Georgian fort commissioned by the British in 1755.

The views from Shirley Heights are breath taking. All boats in the harbor make it look like a post card. Shirley heights would make a wonderful backdrop for an engagement or intimate wedding. I am looking forward to visiting our new friend John again soon.

Antigua has no residency requirement so you can get married the same day you arrive!

It's a wonderful island for a family vacation, honeymoon or a destination wedding and we are happy to assist with planning your travel adventure!!
